I made a decision that I will speak to the Executive Director and ask for my raise and talk about a promotion, open the conversation for what my future looks like with the organization. A couple months ago I didn't feel this way, confident to have this conversation.
I prayed for a $$ injection and then my parents (after I began talking to them less than a month prior, after 3 years of no contact) stepped forward and generously, kindly, voluntarily, unjudgmentally just GAVE me one big enough to pay off my line of credit + are now supporting me monthly as well to supplement my income.

Even though it is always sooooo vulnerable and uncomfortable to lift the rug, pull out the feelings and thoughts around this topic, open up about them etc.. the process today of unearthing them again, naming them BUT THEN being able to reframe/reset them into productive, empowering, expansive, loving versions was a real gift. I've done some of that in therapy here and there, but not quite in this way and with this focus.

It brought forth visions! This was a big shift. I had many powerful visions of myself succeeding in various ways. I've been feeling a physical sensation of excitement, like a baby kicking in my stomach! (I am very gay and not actually pregnant) It feels like I am experiencing my future success before it occurs. I can feel across time.
Major realization/release: others' behaviour DOESN'T mean anything about me or my worth or my talent or my potential!! I feel literally unstoppable. The only person that can stop me, is me. Others' actions can't stop me from pedaling forward on my little bike of dreams. The only reason I've ever stopped (or at times felt like I've even gone backwards) is because I've allowed others' actions to convince me to stop. But I get to choose when to stop! And right now I choose GO!
My fat body not only DOESN'T have moral bearing on my worth, deservedness and potential, but it is in fact PRECISELY my fat experience that affords me unique perspective and voice that the world needs to hear. My size isn't a liability -- it's fucking ASSET.
In the best ways, be ready to: feel vulnerable, to stretch, to be surprised, intrigued, to find this material reaching into and bringing up unexpected parts of yourself and your life, and ultimately be ready to connect with yourself more than you have before!!
I am being a lot more vocal about what I want with my family and making sure my voice is heard.
I am noticing how I speak to myself and also to others and that feels really good.
I am not feeling guilty for stopping, I'm enjoying giving myself space to do as little as possible when I need and it feels good.
I am loving connecting with my body.
Celebrating the small things makes my life so much nicer.

Working with Kate was an incredible experience! I am admittedly skeptical when it comes to ‘self-help’ and have always ascribed to more traditional therapeutic modalities that fall within the medical model.
Once we had a clear idea of what it was that I truly wanted to work on, she worked with me to develop strategies within Mindset Rest that I would actually use, rather than trying to force myself to do something that didn’t feel right for me, and thus wouldn’t work.
